    The multi-point star motif is an American legacy. Colonial sconce makers amplified the candle's firelight glow by fitting a concave back plate with a starburst array of mirrored glass panes. Picking up on this tradition, Hudson Valley cut this Barton two-light wall sconce's twenty wedged facets from a solid crystal block. Set against an Aged Brass backdrop, Barton's silvery crystal star reflects the warm light its pleated silk shade pours out toward it.
